The Gleap MCP server lets AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor work in your Gleap projects: find and answer tickets, look up contacts, write help center articles, build surveys and more. The agent acts as you, with your role in each project, so it can only do what you can do in the dashboard. The Gleap MCP is included in paid plans. See API and MCP limits for the request limits per plan.

Server URL

Use the URL of your data region:

Add it to your AI tool

Add the server URL as a custom connector (or MCP server) in your AI tool, then sign in with Gleap when it asks. The sign-in opens Gleap in your browser, where you pick the projects the agent may use. Claude, ChatGPT and other chat apps: add a custom connector with the server URL. Claude Code and Codex: add the server (US workspaces use the US URL), then sign in: in Claude Code with /mcp and Authenticate, in Codex with codex mcp login gleap. For working Gleap tickets in your repository, the Gleap plugin sets this up for you: see Coding agents.
Cursor: add the server to .cursor/mcp.json, then sign in when Cursor asks.
Tools that can’t sign in send the headers x-gleap-api-key (an Admin API key) and x-gleap-project-id instead. That connects one project.

Choose your projects

One connection can cover up to 10 projects, from any workspace you belong to. When you sign in, tick the projects the agent may use. Projects whose plan doesn’t include the Gleap MCP are shown locked. One of them is the main project: the topmost ticked one, or the one you pick by hovering a project and clicking Make main. With several projects:
  • Every tool takes an optional projectId, and list_projects lists the projects with their ids.
  • Tools that only read use the main project when the agent names none, and each answer says which project it came from.
  • Tools that change something always need projectId. Without it, the agent asks you which project you mean.
A connection with one project works without any of this. To add projects to an existing connection, sign in again and tick more.

Access

  • The agent has your role in each project. If your role changes, the agent’s role changes with it.
  • If you leave a project, it drops out of the connection within the hour; the other projects keep working. If you leave all of them, the connection ends.
  • To disconnect, remove the connector in your AI tool.

What agents can do

The tools cover tickets and conversations, contacts and companies, the help center, news and emails, outbound messages, surveys, statistics, feature requests and workflows. Your AI tool lists every tool with a short description once you’re connected. Full tool lists with examples: Surveys with AI agents and Sequences with AI agents. For coding agents working Gleap tickets, see Coding agents.
