# Ionic Capacitor SDK: Screenshots and recordings requested in conversations

> Let customers send screenshots and screen recordings when a workflow, an AI agent or your team asks for them, with the Gleap Ionic Capacitor SDK.

When a workflow, an AI agent or a teammate asks a customer to show an issue, the widget shows a card with **Take screenshot** or **Record my screen**. On the customer's tap, the widget moves out of the way and a small bar appears over your app. The SDK captures your app when the customer taps **Capture** or **Start**. Workflows, AI agents and teammates can also collect logs from your app without asking the customer.

How to ask, what the customer sees and what your team gets: [Screenshots, recordings and logs](/documentation/guides/screenshots-recordings-and-logs).

<Note>
  Needs the Ionic Capacitor SDK 19.1.0 or later. Older versions show the card with **Upload a file** only.
</Note>

## How your app is captured

* On iOS and Android, the native SDKs capture your app's screen as the customer sees it, without Gleap's own UI. There is no system prompt, and you don't need to add permissions or `Info.plist` keys.
* On iOS and Android, recordings run at about 4 frames per second, without sound, up to the maximum length set in the dashboard (3 minutes at most). On Android, they need Android 8.0 or newer.
* On the web, the plugin uses the JavaScript SDK. See the [JavaScript SDK](/documentation/javascript/screenshots-and-recordings) for how the page is captured.

<Warning>
  On iOS and Android, the native SDKs capture your app's web view as it is shown. The CSS classes `gl-mask`, `gl-block`, `rr-mask` and `rr-block` and the **Masked elements** setting only apply on the web.
</Warning>

## Turn screenshots, recordings and log requests off

```typescript theme={null}
import { Gleap } from 'capacitor-gleap-plugin';
// The card then only offers "Upload a file".
await Gleap.setCaptureEnabled({ enabled: false });
// Log requests are answered as not supported, and captures are sent without logs.
await Gleap.setRemoteLogCollectionEnabled({ enabled: false });
```

Both are on by default and can be called before or after `initialize`. On iOS and Android, turning log requests off also sends screenshots and recordings without logs.
